So I won't be able to build a new PC till the end of the summer so I am stuck with an AGP slot, and there are a lot of games that I can't play because my X800 doesn't have shader model 3. So I need to get a card to hold me off until then. Cheap is good, I'd at least like to match the X800 in terms of performance, though if something is substantially better for a little more then so be it. Thanks for all recommendations.

My geforce 6200 supports SM3 since I can use it on the premium content in EvE Online.

    BRB with a list.

1 - what is your budget?
2 - How powerful is your PSU? (Wattage and brand)
3 - ATI has the best AGP cards on the market, but they won't be making any more NEW AGP compatible chipsets (Because older tech cannot push the cards)

    Best AGP card: $135 = http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102730

But to save money, I'd recommend an ATI 2600/3600 class card if you just want the visuals. Like these 3650s for $70~90 which are a bit more powerful than an x800xt: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...iption=&Ntk=&SpeTabStoreType=&srchInDesc=3650

Unless you have a 3850 or better, you're not going to get much improvement.
