Best alternative to Teamviewer (Moved from Windows 10 forum)

I use Teamviewer all the time.
I use free/personnel settings.
It's a pain seeing the nagging messages.
I wouldn't mind paying - but the choice is to use free or pay $1m (or something close to that) .
(I would actually be happy to pay)

Despite Teamviewer pricing model - I actually would say that I trust teamviewer - they seem reputable.
That's an important consideration.

Just wondering, what are the alternatives?
What is the most used method?

I thought that the programs were similar in functionality, but understand that Irfanview AFAIK, does not have remote access.

I have never used software similar to TeamViewer so I can't suggest "the best".
