I have some Memorex CD-RW disks that say they are "music cd" "for use in home audio cd recorders". My wife bought them at kmart.

Can they be used for data cd-rw storage? I haven't tried them yet, but I can't imagine why not. Does anyone know? Thanks.

You just pay a little extra for royalties with the ones for use in entertainment recorders. There is a code imprinted on them that the entertainment recorders must find to show the royalties were paid. They work fine in any burner.

Thanks. Actually, I think they were a little cheaper at K mart than the regular CD-RW's at the computer stores.
