What hard drive manufacturer do you favor as far as reliability, noise etc?

Usually, this kind of question brings widely varying opinions and those who are vehemently opposed to a certain brand because of a bad experience.

I prefer either Seagate or Western Digital; but, if you want opinions, go to NewEgg.com and look up some drives for yourself. Products that have been sold there for some short time usually have user reviews. There may be some model numbers in a certain brand that are exceptionally good and some that are exceptionally bad; but, the nice thing about it at NewEgg is you get to read the reviews for yourself and make up your own mind.
