    Please help..
My computer says "display adapter not configured properly", and it looks like it's in safe mode (color weird)
It's not recognizing the cd drive, so I can't re-install windows that way..
I tried PC-doctor..it said hard drive test fail..
    It's WINme.
I tried system restore (in the start menu) and everytime it says I must restart to run system restore; still no luck.
    Please, please please:eek:

Hello lykemike and welcome to TSG!

It looks weird because it's in 16 colour mode.
Try reinstalling the graphics card drivers to see if that helps the display problem.
You should also run full Scandisk scan to check out the validity of the hard drive test fail message. If in the Scandisk summary it displays bad clusters then backup and replace the drive.

Hi and welcome to TSG :)

I would suspect that you are NOT in Safe Mode but your video adapter drivers are corrupt or your video adapter is at fault.

Does it say Safe Mode in all 4 corners?

If you go to Device Manager are there any yellow exclamation marks?
