I had a problem with my video and reloaded my drivers and afterwards went to use my A drive and I get a big red X and A is not accessable. I rebooted and now there is no A drive when I go into My Computer. System properties shows Standard Floppy Disk Controler. Can I remove it from Device Manager and will it find it for me?

You can try it. Remove the disk controller and then go go Control
panel> Add New Hardware and let Windows detect. Reinstall and then reboot. See if the Floppy appears. If not, have a look for device conflicts. You said you reinstalled your video.
Another place to look if the drive is missing is at boot, going to the BIOS aka CMOS aka SETUP and being sure you have the floppy listed as enabled and that it is 1.44 MB 3.5 in

    Hi Mossaic 1,
And how are you on this fine day?
Anyway I did get it back and working so we did ok. Now for another question. In CMOS here is the way bootable is.
    1st boot--- CD ROM
    2nd boot-- REMOVABLE DEVICES
    3rd boot--- HARD DRIVE
    4th boot--- NET WORK
Questions--- 1st shouldn't floppy be the first boot?
2nd removable devices says it is a floppy but on my
other PC it just says 1.44 floppy
3rd the fourth boot says Network and I don't have
    a Network
    So now what??

    padutch,
I am great, thanks. Hope you had a good Holiday.

    Which method did the trick?

So long as the Other Devices are listed before the Hard Drive, they can be used as boot devices. Although, the floppy is usually listed first, then the CD.

Different BIOS. So long as it is listed and it functions.
Do you have a choice for fourth? If not, I wouldn't worry about it.
If your devices are listed in the Boot Sequence in the right order, you'll be able to run.
