Hello, i just downloaded a big zip file (more than 600mb)
And i got a crc error, and well of course i'm not going to redownload it, how can i fit this error?

The structure of the zip file is:

It has a 691mb iso file inside
Also 2 1.5mb zips

The iso + 1 zip inside has the crc error

I'm using WinRAR by the way..

Please help,

Thanks

The CRC error indicates the file has been corrupted, probably during the download process.

The compression routine is unlikely to allow any restorative process, as to send sufficient data to allow file re-creation with parts scrambled would result in a much larger file.

The reason you don't get a reply is the correct answer is download it again. :)

The reason you see the binary newsgroups posting RAR files in smaller sizes with recovery records should be obvious, it's the logical way to download huge binary files.
