Bios blues

    Sup yall'(?????????)

    I just flashed my bios on the NForce3 VNF-250 4rm chaintech with a newer version and now when i start up there is a checksum error

    I tired to use AWDflash but when i put a floppy in with the exe and the latest bios i get the message "this program files bios lock string does not match your system"

    1. Tried clearing my CMOS but to no avail still the same prob

    BTW My light on my case keeps on flashing throughout this and the computer doesn't beep on bootup.

    Sounds to me like you will need to replace your bios chip. If you think you have screwed it over, try the url http://www.badflash.com. He can get you back in business pretty quick.

    Sounds like you have had a bad flash or perhaps used the wrong bios file.

    Does your system access the floppy drive on start-up? If so, you can make a bootable floppy to "blind flash" the bios without any input on your part. Post back if you want instructions on how to create a disk for this.
