bios change by it self

    hi there!
    i need some help please!after a while my bios change settings
    by it self.for example 3.boot disabled after cd or floppy
    or 1.boot harddrive to floopy after.also change in cpu settings
    (1700xp to 11ooamd)and voltage settings from 133 to 100.date change to.
    thanks for any help.
    my system:amd athlon 1700xp
    mainboard ecs m830 lr
    320 sdram
    maxtor 40gig
    geforce4 mx440 64mb
    windows xp pro

    Maybe your cmos battery is dying thereby reverting to default bios.

    a very good possibility the cmos battery is going bad. The first thing to do is change it and see if that corrects the problem.
