BIOS not recongnizing all of HD

I just recently installed a larger hard drive into my computer. It's an 80GB.

My BIOS only sees 67GB. However, Windows sees the whole thing.

I know that my motherboard manufacturer offers a BIOS update. I've never flashed a BIOS. But I've heard that if it doesn't flash properly, my computer would be in lots of trouble. Also, my motherboard manufacturer doesn't say if the update would fix this hard drive problem. So, I'm very hesitant to do a BIOS upgrade.

Should I worry about the BIOS not seeing all of the hard drive?

Thanks

OS: Win ME
HD: Maxtor 80GB

If it's working properly in Windows, I wouldn't worry too much about what the BIOS says at this point. There's already one guy here that has a bad BIOS update and a doorstop motherboard!

I am with johnwill on this one. If Windows sees it, it does not matter what the bios detects.
If you do flash and have a bad flash, as long as the bios chip is socketed, www.badflash.com can help. They sent me a chip for a FIC AD11 that someone gave me because of a bad flash and it is now running great with an Athlon 1.2.
