ok, let me try and explain. I recently upgraded my Bios on my EliteGroup K7S5A Pro V5.0 - motherboard - ATX - SiS735 to the 'recommended' phoenix AwardBIOS v6.00PG and I have had problems since with PC restarting when shutdown is selected. I tried to restore my old BIOS but I get a checksum error and 'the image file cannot be opened' or words to that effect.
I also tried flashing the BIOS with one from my motherboard website using AMINF342 but that won't work.....when booted, I type aminf342 and all I get is gobbeldygook on the screen....scarey.....help
