Is it recommended that I upgrade the BIOS when I install new RAM? My system is a dell inspirion 5100 with the A28 BIOS version. Do I really need to upgrade or can I leave it the way it is?

Unless you are having some problem, don't flash the BIOS. If your Dell doesn't recognize all the memory, you might have to. As long as you installed the recommended memory, you shouldn't have a problem.
