    Think about this....

Here's a dilemma for you... what would you do?

This test only has one question, but it's a very important one.

Please don't answer it without giving it some serious thought. By

giving an honest answer you will discover where you stand morally.

The test features an unlikely, completely fictional situation, in which you

will have to make a decision. Remember that your answer needs to be honest, yet

spontaneous. Thoughtfulness is important for this evaluation to be meaningful!

    Ready? Begin!

You're in Florida... In Miami, to be exact...

    There is chaos around

    you, caused by a hurricane

and severe floods. This is a flood of

    major proportions. You are

a photojournalist working for a major

a major newspaper caught in the middle

of this great disaster. The situation is

nearly hopeless. You're trying to shoot

    career-making photos. There are

houses and people swirling around you,

    some disappearing under the water.

Nature is showing all its' destructive fury.

You see a man in the water!

He is fighting for his life, trying not

to be taken away with the water and debris.

    You move closer. Somehow

    the man looks familiar. Suddenly,

you know who it is... it's George

    W. Bush! At the same time you notice

that the raging waters are about to

take him under, forever. You have two options.

You can save him or you can

take the most dramatic photos of your life.

You can save the life of George

    W. Bush, or you can shoot a Pulitzer

    Prize-winning photo, documenting

the death of one of the world's most powerful men.

Now, here's the question (please give an honest answer).

    Would you.........

select colour film, or rather go with the classic simplicity of

    black and white? :D  ;) :p

Regardless of the differences between political/religion/etal a life is worth saving.

I would not have to think about it at all -- I would save the life before working on my career.

I'd have to agree with ciberblade. I don't like the guy and his politics (I voted against him), but a life is a life. Besides, you'd get even more prestige for saving him, so you really don't lose. And who's to say that you wouldn't get tried for murder to allowing him to drown when you could have saved him?

But, I think this thread was started with humor in mind and not reality...

Hard one. I'd have to think about it for a while. A long while. :D

Don't ponder the question too long. The water is still rising.[IMG]. And you'll be looking for ciberblade & marcus77 I'm sure.

Do I make myself perfectly clear. I'd have to think about it.[IMG]

Not my president, but I would check to see if his little lapdog (Aussie PM John Howard) was with him while I changed to colour film to capture the experience.

Ciber & Marcus. I think this was purely a joke.... & should be taken as such. If it was meant to be anything more it would have been posted in Civ Deb. You could throw ANY name/ occupation in there & still get a chuckle.

Perhaps not a P.C.thing to be saying, but I think if we all would lighten up a bit we would all be a lot better off. Not that I think EVERYTHING is funny some things are in bad taste, but I sincerly don't believe this would hurt Bush's feelings, so I think we're ok this time.

P.S. Wether it was my worst enemy or a stray cat I would risk my life to save whoever was in trouble. That's just how I was raised.

Purely hypothetical question. Purely hypothetical answer. In real life, it would never happen. Dozens of secret service agents would gladly throw themselves on the grenade to save their Commander-in-Chief.

Not my choice for president, but I would save him. But know what? Think of the fame and possible fortune I would receive. Though that is not why I would save him. It is a moral issue with me.

poochee: Truly would be a moral issue for me, also. If I didn't save him, I'd regret it the rest of my life. If I did save him, I'd often regret it, the rest of my life. Fame, etc. not of any import to me.

Black and white is artful, and used by many to convey a "mood" or certain quality to a photo.
I would use colour for an occaision such as this. A historical moment like this should be seen in the most realistic way. I vote for colour! :D >f
