This happens roughly every day at least once, and is happening more and more frequently. I am awfully glad I found your site and thanks in advance!

It's not a big problem, just annoying, but I suppose may indicate something more serious.

The taskbar (which is not locked) is black. Icons and everything still show up, unless it is normally black. (E.g., the word "Start up" (or whatever it says) in the left corner is NOT visible, because that font is black.) It looks as if the background color of the taskbar has simply been changed to black, but I can't find any option that would do that. When I click in the left corner the menu that pops up looks totally normal. It also looks "doubled;" it's almost as if I can see another taskbar behind it. I can see the tips of all the icons, and a second black bar, but I can't slide the top one down or the rear one up.

The other things I notice when this happens, which may or may not be related, possibly just coincidental:

    • In yahoo e-mail, the check boxes on the left of individual e-m's are not visible (so you can't delete them by checking them...)
    • When surfing (I use Firefox) the vertical sliding scrollbar is not always visible, I have to guess where it is to use it. Especially if the web page is black.
    Thanks again!!!!!

Thanks - I'll look through here and see if I can find anything.

Unfortunately - I did not find anything useful. Any other thoughts anyone?
