I was using my computer this evening, when it suddenly started shutting down. Realizing that earlier in the day I was getting prompts that my computer needed to be restarted so that updates would install, I realized that must have been what was happening. The computer restarted, installed the updates, then I believe it restarted again. It went to a black screen where it looked like it was loading drivers (which I have seen recently after other updates). I don't know if it was then or not, but I know the computer shut itself off, much like what would happen if it were overheating. I know overheating was not the case in this instance, as I had only had the computer on for a few minutes. When I tried to restart the computer, nothing happens. All the lights come on, and it sounds as if it's starting up, but no windows screen, no BIOS, nothing, so I can't even start in safe mode. I am thinking I have a botched update, but I don't know what I can do, if anything to fix the situation. Can anyone provide any help (or hope)?!!

I think my Vista is Home Premium 32 bit. The last software install I did was Firefox 5, but that has been over a week ago.
