1st time here so please bare with me
Upon start up recently my computer (Window 8 Asus NoteBook Model: S551L)
    -the desktop is black

(No Icons, no task bar and nothing at the side *Only mouse is available*)
For now what im doing to overcome this is open Task manager, end task for the window explorer and then click new task explorer.exe and then my desktop, task bar and everything will show up again. (This is ok but its pretty annoying to have to keep doing it again every time i turn on my computer. so is there a way i can make them standard again like i turn on my com and the desktop and all just show up normally.)

Is there any easy way to like reset this without losing all my files.

Prior to all of that, the 1st few signs of my computer having some issues is that whenever I would login, there would be a light blue covering over my whole computer screen (All features worked fined except that it required some loading before any of the things I clicked opened which only after awhile, the blue screen would lift and then computer speed were back to normal.)

Extra info would be i've asked answer.microsoft
Did a Clean Boot, SFC scan details of the SFCdetail.txt

    Thanks Gr3iz for replying
Apparently after following the instructions on the website u directed me to, I've downloaded the SFCFix.txt which i then opened it and then run it aka followed the instructions provided.
    Then final results where:

    SFCFix version 2.4.1.0 by niemiro.
    Start time: 2015-01-28 16:26:26.366
    Not using a script file.

    ----------------------EOF-----------------------

Which still upon restarting my computer still didn not revert it back to the way it was and screen is still black upon startup and requires me to end task for Windows Explorer and then run new task explorer.exe and then my desktop will be back. Also, the checking back with the SFCdetail.txt, the same errors where still there the ones listed above.
Not sure if this information is useful but i have tried the regedit.exe where i check the shell and in the space was explorer.exe which is the correct one to be there. Also, the Windows Explorer and explorer.exe does startup when i turn on my computer as can be checked when i open my task manager.

In all cases thanks hopefully my computer will be fix back up to normal again :)

I'm afraid I can't be of much further help on this. I just came across that other thread and it sounded like what you were experiencing. I thought it might help. Sorry ...
