When I start my windows 7 laptop, I get a black screen. It doesn't bring up the windows logo, errors, or options such as the boot menu. My Computer was working perfectly fine a few hours ago, but then my computer updated windows 7. After the update, my computer was still working. I noticed some lag, so i opened task manager and killed a few processes that i felt were unneeded.. (Maybe they were essential?) Then when i restarted my computer, this problem occured.

    Please Help!

    Hello,
Can you access the diagnostic screen (F8 key) to try and start in safe mode or using the last known good configuration? Can you boot from the Windows 7 installation DVD and choose to "Repair my computer?"

    Regards

I cannot access the diagnostic screen. It blank-screens immediantly after boot up.

It sure sounds like they were essential.

As CleaverX mentioned, do you have your Windows 7 operating system DVD?
