Hey, recently I have been experiencing troubles playing games on my brand new PC.
I can play a game for a while, and then suddenly the screen will go completely black for about 5 seconds every half a minute or so. The game still plays (which usually results in me dying 'cause I can't see!) but there is no display.

    I have a P4 3.4ghz with HT, 1024MB of RAM and a 256MB GeForce 7600GS

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks :)

Sounds like the video card could be overheating. Check to see if the fan is spinning freely ontop of it (if there is a fan).

I thought that might be the case, but I don't want to open my PC lolz it'll void the warranty... I'll take it back to the place I got it, was just seeing if it was my fault or not first before I did :p
