Hi there, my problem is Im getting a black screen with an error message when I start up my computer that says " non-system or error disk, Replace and strike any key when ready".

I think this happen when I did a system restore couple times. The system restore was not responding so I had to unplug the cord from the back of my computer to turn it off. I tried to do the system restore again.. and same thing happen I was stuck..once again I unplug the cord to turn it off..When I turn it back on that's what I get a black screen with an error message.

I think I caught a virus that's why I did the system restore in the first place. Anyways, Im running a window XP , compaq. I will really appriciate any help you guys can give me. Thank you very much.

If you have access to a working computer with XP and an available XP CD, then you can make the Ultimate Boot CD 4 Windows which is short as this; "UBCD4WIN", and is found here; http://ubcd4win.com/index.htm , and click on the link for How to Build, for more information about that bootable disk.
