    Good morning.

Anybody know how to exterminate the dreaded blank screen pest? Can't yet identify it with any of my activities as it seems to be a sporadic occurrance. Only happens when I am on the www.

It seems to appear when I click on something to go somewhere. My entire screen suddenly turns like a cream color and no amount of clicking (L or R) will make it go away. Whole screen is affected. It covers status bars, toolbars and everything else on the face of the tube. I can get around it by punching in <ctrl-alt> del and using the task manager to switch to any task. However, it doesn't show up in the TM window or I could identify and kill it.

The only way to make it go away is to end all internet operations except my ISP, then bring up Internet Explorer again. Any clues?

    Thanks

go to http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/hijackthis.zip , and download 'Hijack This!'.
Unzip, doubleclick HijackThis.exe, and hit "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log" button.
Press that, save the log somewhere, and please copy & paste its contents to the forum.

It will possibly show issues deserving our attention, but most of what it lists will be harmless or even required, so do NOT fix anything yet.
Someone here will be happy to help you analyze the results.
