Once I turn on my computer and enter my password to log in, my screen turns black. The only way that I can get anything to appear is to press control alt and delete and go to task manager. Once in task manager I go to file then new task and find where it says explorer and click on that and my home page will appear. I have to do this everytime I start up my computer. Any thoughts?

Boot with the Vista DVD and choose repair > startup repair. See if that fixes it.
