block a web site

    i been trying to block a certain web site i tried going to tools and through there as i seen on here that was said to block the web site but after i did all that i was still able to go to the one i blocked can anyone help me thanks

    You should be able to block a website in your Restricted Sites in Internet Explorer. Another option is to edit your hosts file to redirect the domain name to the localhost address (127.0.0.1).

    Another great option, which is the one I use at home is to setup an OpenDNS account and use their DNS server address. You can block websites from your account.
