Blocking a website

    Ok I was just wondering if there is a way to prevent people from visiting yahoo and all associated sites such as the gaming part on my comp?

    dont know why you would wnt to do this but yes. Your hosts file will either be located in c:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc or c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc depending on what version of windows you have. First right click on the file called hosts, click properties and make sure the read only box is unchecked. Next, open the file in notepad. under localhost type:
    (spaces between name and IP denote a tab indent)
    and then:

    then goto file>save and select under save as file type :all files and name it hosts and remove the .txt it should have no extensions
