I'm having a problem with my PC. When I shut down my PC, it sometimes restarts. I was told to uncheck the automatic restart function. Now I get a blue screen. It says:

    STOP: 0x0000007E (0xC0000005, 0xF7878AB9, 0xF78BE90C, 0xF78BE608)

    Can you help me?

Try some of this from MS, some doesn't apply, some does:

Also this can be caused by something as simple as a corrupt shutdown sound file or image file. I also had one once where it was caused by a bad CD-ROM drive.

Post back what happens and if still no joy, give your full system specs so we might attract some help getting you going again.
