    Hi,

I have experienced the "blue screen" crash on my 64 bit Windows 7 laptop several times during the last seven to ten days.

To address this I took the following steps before I got stuck:

    • I ran selective startup
    • I then ran system file checker
    • Error received was - found no integrity violations
    • Then I couldn't figure out how to continue and decided to come to techguy.org
    • Found a similar forum and ran MSG diagnostic and the results are found below.

In advance, thank you for your assistance.

    Scott

    Hi CleaverX,

Thanks, I downloaded and ran the program and it registered no crashes. Prior to your assistance I ran a small program that was I found in one of the Microsoft help forums (albeit older one). Maybe that helped, otherwise I don't know why the NirSoft blue screen program doesn't register crashes.

    Thanks,

    Scott

BluescreenView works from the minidump files that Windows normally produces when it crashes. However these dumps CAN be disabled.
