blue screen in vista

    HELP PLEASE!!! i installed service pack 1 and now i get a bsod when trying to start my compuer. it will not boot windows

    2 things you can try.

    First is the boot with the Vista DVD and then Repair and then Startup Repair.

    If that doesn't work, use the System Restore in the repair menu, and go back to the time before the SP1 install. SP1 would have made a restore point just prior to it installing.

    i've tried both of those things. when i try to boot with the dvd it says loading widow files on a gray screen and then goes immediatley to the blue screen with code c1f5
