    hello.

Im sorry if i don't explain this very well but i will explain as much as i can and as clear as i can.

    I have a:

    Dell Inspiron 6400 Laptop
    Windows XP

and when i start up it gets half way though the loading screen and come up with the "blue screen of death" and i have taken a picture of the message i get and uploaded it to the following link:

i have already done a memtest from the ubuntu live cd and that come up with no errors, as shown:

and i also booted up my laptop well pressing the "fn" key and went into another system test and it passed, as shown:

i also changed the memory (ram) from other working dell inspiron 6400 laptop and no luck also changed the hard drive and no luck... i also put the memory (ram) and hard drive into my other laptop and it all booted up fine... so im really lost of things to do now im pretty close to just chucking it into the bin if im honest :(.

    any ideas though?

    Thanks for all your help....
    Ashley

oh and just to add... i also tryed installing ubuntu linux on it and it installed and ran fine :/ :s

Why not post the screen shots directly on here instead of the SPAM filled ADrive? Just because you are getting a blue screen does not mean it is a memory error. What did you do or install onto the hard drive prior to the blue screen occuring? Can you boot into safe mode?
