    Hello:

I've encountered the Blue Screen of Death.

I am neither able to start Windows 7,
nor able to do a fresh installation of Windows from the Windows 7 CD,
nor able to open the System Recovery Options,
nor able to load system image recovery from a bootable CD,
nor able to do anything in Advance Startup Options whenever I can open it.

I am able to get into the Setup program after I power up my PC, That's the only thing that works.

Thanks in advance for any useful information.

What error message do you get during the installation?

If the computer has built-in hardware diagnostics, (in the BIOS setup), does it pass all of them?

What is the make and model number of the computer?

I had previously been experiencing "Blue Screen of Death" stop errors.
I restored the default settings in the BIOS Setup program in my computer.
That worked for a while. However, the "Blue Screen of Death" stop errors had returned.
Further investigation revealed that my CMOSS battery needed to be replaced.
The purpose of the CMOSS battery is to save the BIOS Setup settings.
Problem solved. It has been about two weeks now and my computer is running normal without any "Blue Screen of Death" stop errors.
