So I got the blue screen of death for the first time this year, but ever since it happened, my computer feels a lot slower, like loading up microsoft word takes a lot longer and/or any other program i open..

I haven't restarted/turned off the computer since it got the BSOD, but any ideas why it may be slower?

My specs are,

Could be any number of things. It would be helpful to know the STOP or ERROR code from the BSOD. But as it has only occurred once, I wouldn't worry about it yet.

As has been the case with all versions of Windows, it sometimes needs to be rebooted to restore proper function.

Reboot and see what happens.

Alrighty, thanks.

I ran it, but I don't know what I'm looking for.

I couldn't find anything called STOP, but I found this..
Caused by driver: hal.dll
Caused by address: hal.dll+2d460

Are you able to see the BSOD listed when you launch the application?

It should tell you there.

Yeah, there's one BSOD, and has the ''Dump file'', ''Bug check code'', etc.

Then further down it has two files marked in light red.

You should be able to open that and get more information.

Anyway, as long as you're not experiencing any more problems, there should be a need to continue with this.

But if it happens again, you'll likely need to use this software again to report the STOP code. So keep it installed on your computer.
