Ok, so on the weekend my computer decided to shut itself down and restart after a blue screen flashed in front of me. It was so fast I didn't have time to read anything. So, I let it do the "disk check" for consistency or whatever it was doing....but it's happened 6 times since then. I read another post about a similar thing happening to another poster and followed the instructions to post a "minidump check". So I'm going to do it here because it looks like we're probably having a different problem. My fan seems to be working fine....no problems with the monitor, etc.

Here's my dump check (see attached). I'm really nervous because I have a home business and can't afford to lose all my info! I've gone out and purchased an external harddrive with a USB to do a backup!!

Have you previously installed any new hardware, i.e. that USB HDD. That may have been the problem.

I don't see any way around the blue screen. (Looks like you computer crashed.)
I suggest running a backup of the entire system, If you do not have one, this might be a lesson to do daily backups.

I haven't even installed it yet. The only new program was quickbooks.....

Ugh. I will definitely be doing the backup every single day now. Also removing alot of pics, etc.

Thanks.

Well I would still take the computer to your local Best Buy to get it checked by Geek Squad, Maybe they can recover some data.
