    Opearting system: Windows 98 Plus

Intstalled CD write drive. Made original CD drive slave and CD write master. When trying to use it, got blue screen with following message:

Error Message - Exception error 0028:00770076 in VxD called from 0028:C182B9B0 in VxD Voltrack (04) + 00000430.

Computer locked up ... had to turn off at switch. After re-booting, got blued screen.

Disconnect CD writer and still got blue screen. Disconnected original CD drive and floppy disc drive and now computer works.

Any help appreciated. Please keep in mind, I am totally computer ignorant.

First - don't panic. Check all the jumpers' positions to see if you got 'em right. It's an easy mistake to make. make sure all the ribbon connections are in the right place and that all the #1 pins (red line) are where they belong. now re-boot and try again.

Thanks for the information. All connections are OK. Son was over for Christmas and had him check and do himself. Still had problem.
