Hi

i have a fairly old windows xp comp which has been runnning for a number of years, recently its started to recieve various blue screens such as IRQL Not Less or Equel, and also randomly restarts.

Im guessing this is a memory error? the ram is 256mb pc1330, im thinking of buying a newer module and testing it.

If you have any Minidumps then post them...you will have to click on Go Advanced and then Manage attachments in your post on this site to post them

You will find them at C:\WINDOWS\Minidump

Compress them either Zip or Rar and post them

thats what im assuming

seeing as my motherboard takes sdram as well as DDR, would it be safe to get pc2100 memory for my motherboard?

specs are

# Supports up to 1 GB SDRAM (PC100/133)
# Supports up to 2 GB DDR RAM (DDR200/266)
