Bluetooth is nowhere to be seen in W10, to which I upgraded recently. Ran a Driver Talent, but it did not show Bluetooth either.
Downloaded and installed INTEL Proset for Bluetooth for w 10. Not showing anywhere.
I wish to use AKG Y45BT wireless headphones.
    any suggestions, please?

Are you sure it's a G6 and not an M6? No results for a G6-1188GA but there does seem to be a M6-1188CA: http://support.hp.com/ca-en/product/HP-ENVY-m6-1100-Notebook-PC-series/5296045/model/5317064

Specs do indicate it should have Bluetooth: http://support.hp.com/ca-en/product...ies/5296045/model/5317064/document/c03507451/

It could be off though. There should be a wireless button on the keyboard, it may also control the Bluetooth radio.

    Check Device Manager for BlueTooth.

Uninstall the Intel Bluetooth software, if there is Bluetooth in your laptop it won't be from Intel. According to the HP website there are no drivers for Windows 10 for that model, and Bluetooth software is listed only for Windows 7 and appears to be from QualComm or Ralink: http://support.hp.com/ca-en/drivers...1100-Notebook-PC-series/5296045/model/5317064
Check to see which wireless card you have and that will let you know which Bluetooth driver you'll need.

Thanks. I have re-checked and it is Pavilion G6 1188 sa. There is no Bluetooth. The maker of the AKG headphones told me that 'Make sure that your computer is set up for Stereo Audio. The AKG Y45bt does not require any drivers. The computer must have the necessary A2DP & AVRCP (audio capable0 Bluetooth software & drivers installed to make it work with Bluetooth capable speakers.

In that case you would need to buy a USB Bluetooth adapter as that model does not list Bluetooth capability.
