I am facing a strange problem.

I have DELL Inspiron 6400 laptop, containing inbuilt bluetooth, and had Windows 7 installed in it.
Bluetooth hardware was shown in device manager as "DELL BLUETOOTH 355 + EDR"
I used to listen music through it, using bluetooth headset.
The only way to turn that adaptor on/off was FN+F2 (right clicking on bluetooth icon and selecting 'turn off bluetooth adaptor' did not worked.)

One day, I tried USB bluetooth dongle, made by ENTER, just to test it.
    Since then,

1)my internal BT isn't working (fails to pair with, (and sometimes, even detect/search) devices)
    2)
right clicking on bluetooth icon and selecting 'turn off bluetooth adaptor' works.
(The computer faces no problem in detection and installation of the device, AND ALL DRIVERS, such as driver for bluetooth radio, Microsoft Bluetooth enumerator, Bluetooth network adaptor, Bluetooth Audio, Bluetooth Handsfree, etc. and software provided by manufacturer, Widcomm bluetooth software, are all up and running.)

I have already tried the following corrective measures-
1)uninstalling all drivers and software related to the USB dongle.
2)uninstalling and reinstalling the internal device.
3)unplugging and replugging the internal bluetooth device. (I opened my laptop for that)
4)downloading updated software from dell and installing it.
    5)Installing update for BIOS.
6)when nothing worked, I formatted HDD and installed fresh OS (windows 7).

None of my efforts produced result.

    PLEASE HELP
