    Hi,
I tried to play Batman Begins on bluray on my computer a couple of days back using power dvd 10 ultra and it didn't play properly, the video appeared to be scrambled (see attached file(apologies for the poor quality, but you get the idea)), the audio is absolutely fine, it's just the video. My computer should be well up to playing blurays (i have done with no problem in the past), some of its specs are as follows:
    Windows 7 pro 64 bit
    Intel core 2 duo @ 2.66GHz
    6 GB ddr2 ram
    Nvidia geforce 250gts with 1GB ddr3 VRAM
    etc.
I've tried updating power dvd to no avail, i've also tried cleaning the lenses in the drive, again, to no avail. I know it's not the disc because i also tried the dark knight on blu ray and got the same problem.
I've pretty much ran out of ideas so any suggestions would be helpful.
    thanks,
    jonny.

Yes, it looks scrambled, either by some encryption process or an incorrect codec. How old is Power DVD?

    Try the VLC player.

I would try uninstalling Power DVD, reboot, and then reinstall and update.

Has it ever worked? Maybe the drive is defective or damaged.

Check for an update. Usually, updates are free for retail products.

Update (or maybe downgrade) the video drivers.

new development: i've been trying a few different blu rays in it, and it seems to just be films by warner bros that it doesn't like

In that case, you could check for a firmware update for the drive.
