    Hi there
I have a hp pavilion a6400f desktop with windows 7 ultimate 32 bit on it. Recently I downloaded bios update from hp site that was for windows vista 32 bit and ran it on this pc in windows 7. It went well then asked for reboot and after that windows startup screen appears saying "Starting Windows" then pc restartd autonatically and goes into system restore state of windows. I tried resetting bios default settings and cleared cmos used startup repair and used system restore to restore my windows to a previous state but nothibg works and the problem still shows up the same way.

It was introduced in February 2008 in the U.S.A. and Canada and came with Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit.

The BIOS 5.43 update for that model desktop was released in August 2010 to address these issues:

Is this the BIOS update that you installed?
What was your reason for installing it?

Where did you obtain the Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit that's installed in it?
    How did you activate it?
