Hi

I recently reinstalled XP Pro on my computer. There's usually no problems but now after the install, if I set the bios to boot from my hard drive I get the message NTLDR (or something near) Is missing press ctrl alt del to reboot. I do this and the same thing happens.

However, if Iset it to boot from CD and then ignore the "press any key to boot from CD" MEssage it then skips and boots fine.

Never had this problem before, any Ideas ??

Cheers all

Perhaps you are booting from incorrect Harddrive
check BIOS for first boot device (could be different harddrive or IDE device)
if you only have one harddrive, then make sure you are booting from IDE0 and not IDE1

good luck

It was just a bit of a shambles, I had 2 partitons on my hard with 2 operating systems, and there was something up along those lines. It just wanted to boot into the damaged one whatever I chose.

I deleted the 2 partitons and just went with the one now everything is fine.

Thanks for your replies guys
