Hi yes, i had just recently had a power outage and was on my pc went it went out. I have an HP h8-1220. I just turned the pc back on and i have received an error code - 3F0
And my Boot Test has failed. Is there anyway i can still save my pc or os it time to get a new computer?
If this error occurred after a power outage, then chances are the hard drive is faulty.
Try the steps outlined in this HP online document. If the drive is not detected in the diagnostics, then more than likely the drive was damaged from the power outage.
I apologise, I don't normally do HP machines and it looks like the Recovery Procedure does have an option to keep your files.
Follow the procedure outlined in this HP Online Document using the Perform a Windows 10 system reset through Windows Recovery Environment option (using F11)
You will get an option to how to reinstall Windows. Cloud Download option does download the latest Windows version where as Local reinstall will install the Windows version at the time. I would suggest the Cloud option so you shouldn't need to reinstall major updates after getting Windows back online.
Note, if nothing works by reinstalling Windows, then you would need to get the hard drive replaced.
I appreciate you for helping anyways. And once i pressed f11 to go into the recovery it is giving me the above screen again. So i will have to get a new pc basically?
Not necessarily. Probably just a new drive. You can replace it with a spinning hard drive, like you've apparently got now, or with an SSD (solid state drive). SSDs are a bit more expensive, but much more robust and faster than an HDD.

Like Mark said, you should be able to get away with getting a new drive only. You will need to create a Windows USB Install to install Windows. HP may also have drives Windows installed already.
Your call. For about $100 you can get a 1TB SSD, or a 4TB HDD (catching the right sales), and reinstall Win10.
