Can anyone help me? I bought a new Pc recently (reconditioned) and it has been working fine but Friday while I was loading a new program onto it it suddenly died on me!

Now it won't boot-up at all - the fan goes but the power light just flashes on and off and there is a red light marked 'HDD' on all the time. Nothing at all comes on the monitor, and the keyboard lights flash on for a split second when I turn on the power then go straight off again and die.

Nothing works - the CD Rom won't open, even the power button has no effect and I have to switch it on and off at the plug.

Have tried the basics (ie plug, fuse etc) but have no idea. Can anyone help???

    Am desperate!

sounds like something came loose. I think you need to open up the case, and very carefully check that all the cables are attached correctly, especially the power cable.

Next you will need to reseat the cpu and memory into their sockets.
