booting NTFS

    does someone know how NTFS partition is booting? step by step?
    Example: first is read this, then is read that, then jump on instruction... :rolleyes:

    or link to some website where it's explained. or advisesome good book :)

    Hi bmedek,

    A computer never boots on a partition. It boots on the hard drive area called boot sector or master boot record at the end of which you find the partition information and the partition table.

    Also, I can't give you the detail of the thousand processes Windows XP triggers when it's loading.
