booting problems!

i sold my old PC to a woman, xp, amd 2800+, good graphics card and all the rest, its running a 80gig SATA hard drive, she turned on the PC tonight and got a message boot failure insert boot diskette or something, any idea's lads? Im trying to help her fix the roblem over the phone!

Well, two easy thingsto start with. She's got something unbootable in the floppy or cd drives. During the move a cable came loose to the hard drive.
