I have an Acer Aspire X1700 with a Celeron E1400 2.00 GHz processor with 3 GB ram 32-bit.
I have Vista Home Premium. It starting booting up very slow and it has gotten worse. I have tried booting in safe mode and it comes up in a couple of minutes. I just rebooted normal to time it and it took 1 hour and 30 minutes, but then it works fine.
I have scanned for malware and didn't find any. I can't seem to find out what is causing this.
Here is my Hijackthis log.
Any help please.
Thanks you

What all is on your Startup List? Lots of programs install themselves to start on bootup. (as if we can't work without them).
What background scans or defrags (if any) are running?
When was your last GOOD defrag?

The only things that SHOULD be on Startup is your AntiVirus, Firewall, and AntiSpyware.
Change everything else to manual. Will still run when you need them to.
I use WinPatrol to keep an eye on mine.
