I have accidentally turned the power off my computer causing a problem. (Windows XP
From starting up my computer it informs that I must restart windows or reconfigurate last known settings which I have preceeded to do. From this point the screen goes black.
It then takes three minutes before the mouse arrow appears on the screen and then everything proceeds normally.
Ive been into safe mode and checked CHKDSK, Everything ok
Hope you can help
Thank you

This is the message:

Hi I havetried the restore button, but to no avail.
You mentioned windows C D or recovery C D.
Can you enlighten me a bit , me being slightly computer iliterate.
Thanks Grimpiece
When you purchased the PC - did you get any CD's if so these may be either a
full windows operating system CD
OR
a recovery CD - which when used takes the machine back to the state it was in when you first purchased it
