bridging graphics

    I recently bought a motherboard, EVGA 680i with the hopes to build on it.
    as I searched for graphics card, i probably end up bridging two of them.
    what combination of grphics card can be made.
    Should the cards be the same, could they be the same but different manufacturers?

    From what i've read, the cards must be identical, same brand, company.. for example, if you try an XFX card and an Asus card, it wont work.. i could be wrong tho.
