Brigthness not working in Dell with Windows 8

    Brightness function is not working in widows 8.1 in Dell Inspiron laptop. I did several sussustion via internet but problem still persist . Any help will be appriciated ..

    What is the model number of the Dell Inspiron laptop? (See if it's listed on a sticker on the bottom).

    Its Dell Inspiron 5547 Core i5 with Windows 8.1 installed .

    While holding down the "Fn" key, tap the "F11" or "F12" to increase/decrease brightness. If that doesn't work, try it without holding the "Fn" key.

    Sorry to hear that. Those are the keys Dell designed to be used to increase/decrease brightness in that model laptop.

    Something must be damaged somewhere. Maybe the keyboard get wet?

    Is there an "Adaptive Brightness" service in windows 8? Im not sure as i dont have windows 8.But if so,make sure it is set to manual and then reboot.
