While connected to the internet using broadband adsl and Firefox 3.0.8
    I sometimes get a dialog box showing "Connecting MY ISP,Dialing Ozemail.com.au "
I assume that this means a program is trying to connect automatically.
    How can I identify it.
    I would appreciate any suggestions.

Do you use any anti-virus or anti-spyware programs?

I used to get those annoying efforts to "help" me, too. The easiest thing to do is simply to go into Device Manager and right-click your dial-up modem. Choose to disable it and the machine and programs will no longer try to dial out. Make sure that there is no dial-up connection listed under Connections in Internet Options, too.

Yes I use AVG antivirus and Spybot S&D also SuperantiSpyware.
I use Comodo as my firewall and it alerts me about intrusion attempts normally but this dialog box has nothing to do with Comodo. It seems to
be a system notice, but I admit that's a guess.
I checked in Device Manager and there is no dialup modem only Network Adaptors.
Thanks for your input guys. Any other ideas.
Incidentally, sorry about the duplicated post, that was my first post ever
    and I messed it up.
