The guy from cox hooked up broadband yesterday but said the computer couldnt find the ethernet card. all the lights are flashing but evidently no ones home. Do I maybe need a driver for the card? also emachines support, which loves to tell me how my warrany is expired says I have an integrated ethernet card and its not showing up on devmgmt because its connected wrong. How can it be connected wrong if its integrated?

Go into the Device Manager and advise what's listed in

Network Adapters

Other Devices

----------------------------------------------------------------

The eMachines site doesn't list any network adapter drivers for the C3070 for Windows XP.

It doesn't list any drivers at all for Windows Vista or Windows 7.

(You didn't mention which version of Windows is installed, but I'm assuming that computer came with Windows XP)

The specifications section doesn't describe the network adapter.

you mentioned ethernet card. does your pc have a separate ethernet card or are you talking about the ethernet jack that built in the mother board?

if its a separate card? check who made it. and get the driver from them
