    Hey can someone tell me how to set up broadband on windows 98 cos i have no idea how to do it. thanks

    Without more information, typically you use a DSL/Cable router. Mostly for security since it also serves as a reasonable firewall.

    Connect the Cable modem to the WAN port.

    Connect the workstations to the Ethernet port.

    Turn on the cable modem

    Turn on the computers

    Most routers are configured where you don't need to do anything. Just make sure the workstations are configured to get a IP address automatically.
