I recently had a virus on one of my harddrives, and when i went to format it i accedentally started to format the wrong drive. I dont think it really even started to format, but I quickly turned off my computer when i saw it was the wrong drive. Now when i put my harddrive in another computer it wont work. Is there anyway to get my data back, or fix it?

Just an opinion. but the short bit was probably enough to erase critical information needed by the drive to function properly.

You could try booting the machine with a startup disk and from the dos prompt type

sys c:

and

fdisk /mbr

The first will rewrite the system files to the drive, the second will rewrite the master boot record.

But it's a long shot and I doubt it will work.

Wait to see if anyone else has a better answer for you
