Broken Laptop Screen Nightmare

I have a problem regarding a broken laptop screen, nvidia drivers that failed to install and a system that now doesn't output via it's own hdmi port. Yikes.

The screen was cracked some time ago, but hey, modern Laptops (the model in question is a Gigabyte Q1732) all have hdmi out, so I procured a good screen and continued to use the Laptop.

However, during a recent system and disk cleanup one of the tasks I had set myself was correcting an issue with my graphics driver that was using the default on-board as opposed to the nvidia GT540m that it was equipt with. I took the opportunity to uninstall the intel driver and the subsequently install the nvidia driver before restarting, as the switch over did not work on my previous attempts. That was probably my biggest mistake.

The nvidia installation failed, prompting restart into safe mode.

The hdmi port no longer outputs and so, with the broken screen, I can't see what I am doing to try and fix anything.

I am running Windows 7 64 bit.

Could I set up remote desktop? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
